Tom finally agrees to tell Sarah what happened on the night he murderered her parents. After the familiar scene of the Executioner stabbing Bryan in the back and Rachel slipping in his blood, we now see the Executioner take off his mask to reveal his identity to Rachel. She pleads with him not to kill their baby, and tells him that she loves him, but he is merciless and stabs her in the throat before cutting open her abdomen to take out Sarah.
Tom tells Sarah the only way she could be saved from the wickedness of her parents was to kill them. Sarah doesn't really buy that excuse and suggests child protective services would have been a better idea before she leaves in frustration.
After a comforting talk with Robin, Sarah returns home to find Dylan setting up a nice dinner for the two of them. He apologizes for his behavior and all of the time he's spent at work. Sarah's put up with a lot of BS today though, so she gives him an ultimatum: Dylan can continue with his Executioner investigation or they can be together, since it seems clear he has a hard time making them both work.
Meanwhile, Officer Sharma is investigating an abandoned building when he finds the Executioner's drawings of torture and punishment. Cam arrives at the scene too, and together they examine the drawings and notice there's no sketch for Pride on the wall.
Cam finds a journal listing the names of all of the victims circled beneath their respective sins. On the back page he sees the word "Pride" with Sarah Bennett and Tom Wilson's names listed below. Uh-oh! Looks like Sarah's hubris has finally caught the Executioner's attention.
Sarah is doing some research on a website dedicated to her parents' murders online and emails the website administrator for more information. Curiously enough, at that moment, Dylan's phone goes off with an email notification. To make sure it wasn't a fluke, she sends another email and his phone gets another notification. WHHAAAT?
Sarah confronts Dylan and he admits he's been following the Executioner story for a long time, but he says that isn't what made him fall in love with her. Naturally, Sarah is flipping the f out, but Cam suddenly arrives at the house and announces that Sarah's a target.
Dylan appears on Lisa Ann Follows' show that night, and she reveals that she knows Tom and Sarah have been targeted by the Executioner, a fact Dylan had decided not to share with her. Lisa warns Dylan not to hide information from her in the future. Ooh, boy, what have you gotten yourself into, Dylan?
That night, Tom is being transported in an ambulance to a new location. However, he decides to take the opportunity to make a break for it, and he overpowers Officer Sharma and escapes.
Cam and Sarah receive a radio message from Sharma that Tom has escaped literally moments before Tom appears inside Sarah's house with a gun (a little late with that one, Sharma...). Tom disarms Cam and tells Sarah to come with him so he can protect her, and Sarah decides to trust him this time. They leave together on their first father-daughter outing.
Meanwhile, Dylan's getting hammered with Lisa. She tells him Sarah's dragging him down, and they share a kiss, but the moment of infidelity is interrupted by a phone call from Cam telling him to meet him at the police station.
Sarah and Tom set up a camp in the woods and are spending some time bonding, which would be sweet if Tom wasn't a murderer. Sarah asks what Rachel and Bryan did that they deserved to be killed for, but Tom won't reveal anything. And unfortunately, Sarah can't press him any further, because he begins convulsing on the ground.
At the police station, Dylan is furious with Cam for losing Sarah. Sharma arrives and announces they found Sarah's location from her cell phone, and they send a team out to find her. Finally, Sharma! You've done something right for once!
Sarah heads back to the road to find someone to help Tom and she sees a police car passing by. But before she can flag him down, the Executioner appears behind her and grabs her!
Tom and Sarah wake up in some sort of warehouse next to the Executioner and a large buzzsaw. The punishment for pride: being broken on a wheel. Well, that's one way of interpreting it, we suppose...
Sarah reveals her past suicide attempt to Tom, stating that must be the reason for her punishment. The Executioner grabs Sarah and brings her toward the buzzsaw, but Tom tells the Executioner to take him instead and claims he is the one who deserves to die.
Flashback! Tom is preaching at church when he notices Sarah's mother arrive. He's taken by her beauty, and soon they begin sleeping together. Tom feels guilty about sleeping with a married woman, but Rachel says it's ok. He tells her he loves her and wants to spend his life with her... and then Bryan walks in on them.
Bryan reveals he's been recording them having sex and that Tom's a natural. Bryan says he can keep it between the three of them, and he asks if Tom really meant what he said about being in love with Rachel. Tom is heartbroken by Rachel's deceit, and that's when he forms his plan to kill them.
Tom admits to the Executioner and Sarah that he was blinded by his ego and his pride to kill Rachel and Bryan, and that it wasn't for some higher purpose. He continues to plead with the Executioner to take him instead and tries to attack him but is thrown back. After an initial moment of hesistation, the Executioner removes Sarah from the buzzsaw.
Tom sacrifices himself to save Sarah and throws himself on a buzzsaw.
Sarah is taken to the hospital and reunited with Dylan, but she pushes him away. On the way home, she encounters a mannequin dressed as the Executioner standing in the middle of the park with an envelope with her name on it attached. But Sarah's not having it anymore, and she vows to make the Executioner pay. Time for some revenge...
Cut to Cam, arriving home. He takes out a box of creepy mementos from all the killings thus far and places a piece of Tom's prison uniform in there. Oh, Cam. We knew you were too good to be true.
